Puppy Kindergarten Program
Teach your puppy good habits from the start.
Just seeing a puppy brings a smile and warm feeling to most people. You probably smiled when you first saw the little guy and immediately accepted him as the new family member. But although having a puppy feels good, puppies require a lot of work, so it’s imperative to start training your new friend the right way.
Like newborn babies, puppies learn how to act in this world of ours through structure, guidance and positive reinforcement. Unfortunately, 25% of all puppies are given up by their guardians in the first year because they have turned into some kind of fuzzy monster.
The puppy months, especially 7 to 16 weeks of age, are the most important and impacting time in a dog’s life. The most important thing you can do for your puppy actually occurs outside of the home, which is SOCIALIZATION. This means multiple successful interactions over many weeks with many new people, dogs and environments.
A vast majority of behavioral problems in adult dogs are the result of their not being properly socialized as a puppy. Think of this time of hard work on your part as an investment that will result in the vision you had when you got him. One of a well balanced adult dog at your side for years to come.
My puppy training program will help you address the following areas.
